PHS honors the Civil War's sesquicentenial

The Peterborough Historical Society is honoring the 150th anniversary of the start of the U.S. Civil War with an exhibit of artifacts, photographs, and personal stories being displayed through the end of October.

In addition, there will be a Civil War dinner hosted on May 28th.  Recipes will include President Lincoln's favorite dish as well as Mary Todd Lincoln's cake and Jefferson Davis' pie recipes.  There will be a day long enactment on May 28th and a concert of period music on June 17th.
