Peterborough gets a new state park...

Thursday, August 14th, New Hampshire Governor John Lynch, Congressman Paul Hodes, and other dignitaries were on hand for the dedication of Temple Mountain State Reservation. The reservation, comprising the old Temple Mountain Ski Area property that closed in 2001, is the first state park added in Southern NH in twenty years.

The 350+ acre reservation is a vital link in the 21 mile Wapack Trail that connects Crotched Mountain in New Hampshire and Mount Watatic in Ashburnham, Massachusetts and abuts Miller State Park, New Hampshire's oldest state park.

This means more hiking and outdoor opportunities for people living in or visiting the Monadnock region!

Peterborough Players is a nice place to see a play!

Two weeks ago we had a surprise evening off and went to see Private Lives at the Peterborough Players. Not only was the acting good but the theater, a renovated and converted barn, is an excellent place to see a play. The theater only seats about 250 people so it is intimate and we had seats in one of the last few rows and still the sound and views were great.

Peterborough Players is currently showing An Ideal Husband which we hope to get to and we already have tickets for Our Town later this month. If you come to Peterborough, definitely consider going to see a play!
