Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

We have always planned to share some of our favorite goodies on the blog and with our guests encouragement, we decided our Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies would be a great place to start. Let's be honest, with peanut butter, oatmeal, and chocolate chips how could it be anything other than delicious

  • 1 1/2 cups margarine or butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups crunchy peanut butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Cream together margarine, sugars, and peanut butter with mixer
  2. Add vanilla and eggs, and beat well
  3. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and oatmeal, and mix well by hand
  4. Add choclate chips
  5. Chill for two hours
  6. Preheat oven to 375 F
  7. Form dough into walnut sized balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets
  8. Bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes. Do not overbake.

Notes: Use a light touch while working with this not overbeat. Yields six dozen.

Geography can be so much fun…

OK, this might not have anything to do with the Bed and Breakfast, Peterborough, or even the Monadnock Region but it does have to do with travel, geography, and most of

For those who do not know, Little River Bed and Breakfast is listed on Trip Advisor which is a nice website for travelers doing research and gives them an opportunity to leave feedback about their travel experiences. Some of our previous guests have left us favorable reviews and we are glad they had such a good experience that they wanted to share it with others. While browsing Trip Advisor this past week they had a link to a geography IQ Test that was fun and educational all at once and we wanted to share it with you.

No making fun of Rob's Level 6, 192,000 point score but we hope you enjoy playing it as much as we did. Just click here to take the test.
