Peterborough Players holding auditions…

...that means summer can't be too far away!

The Peterborough Players, one of the nation's oldest summer stock companies, is celebrating its 75th year in 2008. This upcoming weekend seems to be the start of the activity as they are holding their annual meeting on Saturday, February 16, and auditions for the 2008 season on Sunday, February 17. According to the Peterborough Players website (www.peterboroughplayers.org): " The formal purpose of the (annual) meeting is to elect trustees for the year 2008 and announce the 2008 season. While all who have an interest in the Players are invited, voting members of the corporation are considered to be those who made a cash contribution to the company in 2007, who purchased a subscription in 2007, or who purchased a ticket to a 2007 production."

Information available so far indicates that the 2008 subscription season will include:
  • Nobody Don't Like Yogi
  • Stones in his Pockets
  • Our Town
  • Doubt: A Parable
  • and three additional shows to be announced at the annual meeting

Additionally, the Players will host two family productions by the Second Company. For more information about the Peterborough Players, their annual meeting, or the auditions, please go to www.peterboroughplayers.org.

It may be cold outside, but we are looking forward to an exciting summer!
