Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups margarine or butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups crunchy peanut butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Cream together margarine, sugars, and peanut butter with mixer
- Add vanilla and eggs, and beat well
- Add flour, baking soda, salt, and oatmeal, and mix well by hand
- Add choclate chips
- Chill for two hours
- Preheat oven to 375 F
- Form dough into walnut sized balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets
- Bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes. Do not overbake.
Notes: Use a light touch while working with this dough...do not overbeat. Yields six dozen.
